Nummer sieben
My seventh outside reading blog is on the book unexpected developments. Its about a girl who is very self conscience and feels like people don't like her because she's shy. She lives in a little town in Iowa and works in a small resteraunt. She ends up getting the boyfriend of her dreams and comes out of her shell. Its a nice story and a good light hearted read.

This time for outside reading I watched the movie thirteen. Its about these two young thriteen year old girls who just keep getting into more and more trouble. The constantly get high or wasted or have sex with anyone they can find who will give them their next hit. Its a moving story of how lost some people can become. These girls don't realize what their doing is wrong and that they are ruining the rest of their lives. Eventually they figure it out, but its a long hard road before they get there.

My fifth outside reading is of this article I read in the paper about how a boy had his mother killed so he could get money for his girlfriends boob job. Now to me a boob job really isnt worth my mothers life. to him, it obviously was. Its quite a strange world when you need to have boobs more than family. I wonder what the next story will be, a child eating razor blades to loose weight?

Cartoon Heroes
Powerpuff Girls
The Powerpuff Girls revolves around the adventures of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three little girls with superpowers. The plot of a typical episode is some humorous variation of standard superhero and/or tokusatsu fare, with the girls using their powers to defend their town from various villains, such as bank robbers, mad scientists, aliens, or giant monsters. In addition, the girls also have to deal with normal issues young children face, such as bed wetting or dependence on a security blanket.- Wikipedia.com
Sailor Moon
"The story of the various metaseriers revolves around the reincarnated defenders of a kingdom that once spanned the solar system, and the evil forces that they battle. The major characters—called Sailor Senshi (literally "Sailor Soldiers"; frequently called "Sailor Scouts" in the North American version)—are teenage girls who can transform into heroines named for the moon and planets (Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, etc). The use of "Sailor" comes from a style of girls' school uniform popular in Japan, the sērā fuku (sailor outfit), after which the Senshi's uniforms are modeled. The elements of fantasy in the series are heavily symbolic and often based on mythology." - Wikipedia.com
Ben Ten
Ben ten is your typical ten year old boy he likes video games and junk food. But he also fights crime with his "watch" that gives him super powers. He has the help of his friends to go and save the day!
Lyrics - Superchick
You could be a hero -
heroes do what's right
You could be a hero -
you might save a life
You could be a hero-
you could join the fight
For what's right, for what's right, for what's right
The Avengers

Siddhartha 4
Over his life time Siddhartha must have learned a lot. Specifically I believe he learned how to listen, how to be in love, and how to forgive others. In learning all of these parts of life I believe that Siddhartha has reached nirvana.
For example the river has taught Siddhartha to listen well and be at peace. He can hear all of its thousand voices -laughing, crying, singing, whispering, etc- at once. This has made him impecible at reading and listening to people. Also Kamala has taught him how to love another person. He fell in love with her when he saw her and worked hard for her affection. Years later he saw her again and had the same ammount of love for her, sadly she died in his bed that night from a snake bite. Lastly Siddhartha can forgive people. He forgave Govinda for all of his worldly sins and was able to do so with a smile on his face. All of these things have taught Siddhartha a lot about life.
Overall I would say that Siddhartha has reached Nirvana because he has been able to be whatever he wanted from a samana to a sinner to a ferry boat driver. He has experienced his life to the fullest in as many ways possible and he has gained infinate ammounts of wisdom from it. In the end thats what Nirvana is all about. Reaching a peace of mind within yourself, which is what Siddhartha has done over his lifetime.

So I was watching this video Asylum with my family and friends, horror is not what I would call it. My friends and family were giggling so hard throughout the whole movie that it was hard to understand what was going on. It had everything from the cheesy pull your head off effects to the zombie-ghost yelling "YOU'RE DEAD MEAT!" Not the best movie I've ever seen in my life. Though I must say its been a source of inside jokes for days now, so I give it some respect as to making a comedy out of a classic horror film.

I've been in the process of reading this book called How They Met. I worte about this book already, but I decided since I finished it it was the perfect time to blog again. The ending was exactly how I expected it to be, just like the begining. One single love story, no different from the rest. Over all I would definitaly say that it was a worth while book to read and its prefect if you want to cuddle up in bed and do some light easy reading. David Levithan is probably one of my favorite writers and I plan on reading all of his books in due time.

The Tracy Fragments is a complex film. It hits a lot of key political topic whith in its fragmented plot line. It starts out with her and her family, they are fighting and calling her crazy, which as it turns out she is. Then she goes to school whree she get harassed and everyone calls her 'it'. Then she meets a boy, he brings her to his car when she was watching her brother, he rapes her and she loses her brother. From then on she runs away from home to find her brother, gets mixed up in the wrong crowds. She ends the movie saying "No one can stop me anymore." an empowering quote from an empowered young woman.

I'm in the process of reading a book called How They Met. The book is composed of a total of about 15 different love stories as each chapter. It's really quite interesting, their not all ooshie gooshie like you would expect. A few have already ended in heartbreak, on the other hand though some have turned out exactly as you would expect it to. The author even goes into taboo subjects like gay couples and transvestites. You jump into the main charcters head and really feel what they are going through. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a good book. [:
Siddhartha 3
Dear Abby,
I need some advice. My dear friend Siddhartha is going through a weird time and I don't know how to help him. About three years ago he set out to become a Samana with our friend Govinda, but then they ended up splitting ways. Govinda became a Buddhist monk and Siddhartha kept traveling, and became overcome with temptations. He's started gambling, having sex, drinking- he's lost all his morals. What can I do to help?
I love Siddhartha and I just want him to be health again. What do you suggest that I do to help him realize that he isn't okay like this. I just really could use some help. What do you suggest?

Siddhartha 2
Govinda: oh Charu, Siddhartha left me!
Charu: How so?
Govinda: We went away from the samanas to hear the Buddah himself, I joined his followers but Siddhartha decided not to after I already agreed.
Charu: Can't you see that was your own choice to become a monk, it wasn't in Siddhartha's path?
Govinda: But we've been by eachothers side since we were born, I don't understand why he would just leave me like that.
Charu: What actually happened, tell me the whole story.
Govinda: So we heard the Buddah talk and I joined his monkhood and asked why Siddhartha had not stepped up, he said that I had chosen my path and blessed me with salvation. Then we walked around the woods and said goodbye. I got my robes and we parted ways.
Charu: It sounds to me like you finally choose your own life instead of following his and he stuck to his own path. He's not to blame, no one is. You're taking a big step and now is the time to become your own person.
Govinda: I suppose you're right...
Charu: I have to go for now, good luck, you'll learn plenty [:
Govinda: Talk to you soon Charu... and thank you.
I wonder how Govinda is doing, I know Siddhartha is fine. He always has been, he just doesn't realize how much Govinda cares about him, their like brothers. I can't believe they split ways, not in a million years would I have thought that would happen. I suppose the day is so, they were bound to someday, if one died... or got married. Govinda is a good man, he'll be just fine as a monk. I wonder what Siddhartha is up to now... maybe one day I'll find out.

siddhartha

I haven't met him personally yet, but I'm determined to. He's so mysterious, and I don't think he even realizes it. Every time I pass him on the streets I wonder whats going through his head- Why don't I have enough guts to ask? He's so at peace all the time, I'm envious. He disappeared for awhile rumor has it he sat in the woods for weeks on end. I don't believe that, I think he must have been out helping someone. I hope he comes home soon- the next time I see him I will talk to him.
Analysis.
The first four chapters of the book Siddhartha are a background check. It explains where he comes from, and whats he's looking for- education. He leaves his fathers house with his dear friend Godiva to become a Samara. He realizes that he doesn't want to be one anymore after he hears the teachings of the Buddha, but his friend decided to pledge his allegiance to Buddha and follow him wherever he may go. Without each other their lives are about to drastically change.
